In 2017, San Francisco business owner Katie Woods reached out to me to craft a brand identity for Ritual, her holistic esthetician studio. We distilled Ritual’s elegant identity into a sophisticated and elevated brand narrative with a modernized art deco flair.
Ritual’s logomark is by far the most iconic branding component. As with all of the design elements used, the mark is based in geometry with additional lines added to the “R” for a more ornate look. The diamond within the letter is repeated throughout the brand to add cohesion and consistency.
As an active member of her professional community, Katie maintains a regular social media presence, mainly through Instagram account via posts and stories.
To keep these stories consistent and categorized, we created a series of unique badges for her Instagram highlights. Comprised of delicate lines and reimagined art deco silhouettes, these badges add nuance and curiosity to her brand.
