Cherry Hills Sushi Co. Logo Development
On my birthday I get two things: Starbucks and sushi. So, when I was approached to brand an upcoming Denver sushi concept - I was pumped!
Cherry Hills Sushi Co. will be a hybrid sushi restaurant with an interior that has a Scandinavian coffee shop vibe. The words fresh, minimal, heritage, clean, and bold were used. Think - a lot of white space, a wooden bar, white tile and succulents throughout.
Above is a board comprised of images the client shared via Pinterest. Lots of white space, wood and a mix of serif and minimalist logos gave a clear direction for the brand.
The owners settled on a mix of concept three and four. They liked the shape and badge for concept four, but felt the font may be too trendy. Concept three's fonts had the perfect mix of modern and heritage and captured the coffee shop vibe they were after.
The end result is simple while mixing old and new. The horizontal variation will be used for the neon sign on the building and the outline badge will be used for window treatments.
I had so much fun working on this project and I can't wait to visit once they're open!
